Amazon Seller Partner (SP-API)
SP-API is how INGB reads your product catalogue, orders, inventory, and listings. Connecting it unlocks every analytics feature that needs sales data (not just ad-attributed sales) — most importantly revenue, orders, sessions and TACOS across Performance.
Before you start
You need Seller Central access
You must be signed in to Seller Central with permission to authorise third-party applications. If you're an employee on a brand team, ask the account owner or an admin to perform the connection.
Know which marketplace(s) you sell in
SP-API authorisation is region-scoped. NA (US/CA/MX), EU (UK/DE/FR/IT/ES…), and FE (JP/AU…) are three separate authorisations. You'll authorise each region you operate in.
Connect the integration
Open Your setup
Pick your company in the top bar; Home opens Your setup. On the Your Amazon sales card, click Connect Amazon sales and pick your marketplace.
Authorise on Seller Central
Amazon will show you the scopes INGB is requesting. Confirm them and Amazon redirects you back to INGB with an authorisation code.
Initial sync starts
INGB exchanges the code for a refresh token (kept server-side, in a column no signed-in user can read) and begins ingesting your catalogue. The Your Amazon sales card shows when the last update landed.
Best practices
- ✓Authorise every region you actively sell in — partial coverage means partial analytics.
- ✓Use a Seller Central account that won't change owners — the refresh token is tied to that user.
- ✗Authorise from a personal account and then leave the company — revocation will sever the connection.
- ✗Connect, then immediately disconnect to “refresh” — you'll restart the ingest from scratch.
- ✗Assume SP-API alone is enough for ad optimisation — you also need Ads API.
